The 7th International Symposium “Beyond Borders: Pioneering Transformation in the Environment and Society” aims to bring forth and address topics from around the world in regards to understanding and managing relationships between stakeholders in the environment and the society.

Throughout the conference, speakers from the industry and academia will share their expertise and insights, igniting meaningful discussions on topics such as energy, waste management, climate change, pollution control, biodiversity conservation, and much more. Simultaneously, students will engage in stimulating networking sessions and thought-provoking paper and poster presentations that showcase the latest in cutting-edge research and innovative approaches.

The Sixth International Symposium on Emerging Technologies and Transition to Circular Economy explored innovative advances that can address and shepherd the transition to inclusive circular solutions (economy), unlocking the potential to curb emissions for a sustainable future. 

Emerging technologies and their convergence towards a circular economy paradigm have a transformational effect across global value chains; therefore, the International Symposium aimed to provide a platform where international cross-disciplinary professionals come together to share their deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities on environmental topics. Professionals from different sectors gave an overview of global trends, industries at the forefront of this transition, and how green innovation can be leveraged to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.

The Fifth International Symposium on Current Challenges in Sustainability discussed the emerging and ongoing technologies, environmental impacts of Covid-19 pandemic and different countries perspectives. It was intended to provide an opportunity for interdisciplinary professionals to exchange their academic and technical knowledge in environmental topics.

The Fourth International Symposium: Transition to a Sustainable Future, provided a networking opportunity to discuss: What is a smart city? What must be done to make a city ‘’smart“? Which are the renewable energy sources? How is green energy being developed? What are the roles of society, industries, and government in the circular economy? How have the technologies evolved in the industry during the last years?

The Third International Symposium organized by the M.Sc. WASTE Office Team was held on November 8, 2019. The agenda for the symposium was Waste-to-Energy and speakers from all over the world came together to talk about research advances in the matters of waste management and offered suggestions for dealing with one of the most crucial waste challenges of our generation.

The Second International Symposium on environmental process engineering and technologies, was intended to provide an opportunity for professionals in the fields of environmental engineering to exchange their academic and technical knowledge. Protection of the environment is a topic that was discussed and considered. 

What if the same environmental technologies are shared among all nations? How beneficial will it be for further developments in the green-oriented industry? How have evolved the environmental technologies in the industry during the last years?
