Beyond Borders: Pioneering Transformation in the Environment and Society

The 7th International Symposium aims to bring forth and address topics from around the world in regard to understanding and managing relationships between stakeholders in the environment and society.

Throughout the conference, speakers from the industry, government, and academia will share their expertise and insights, igniting meaningful discussions on topics such as energy, waste management, climate change, pollution control, biodiversity conservation, and much more.

Simultaneously, students will engage in stimulating networking sessions, thought-provoking studies and poster presentations that showcase the latest in cutting-edge research and innovative approaches.

About the International Symposium

Each year, M.Sc. WASTE, an international Master’s program on Air Quality Control, Solid Waste and Waste Water Process Engineering at the University of Stuttgart, organizes the International Symposium wherein experts from industry and academia come together with young professionals and students to share knowledge and discuss challenges to sustainable development and environmental protection.

Last year, the VI International Symposium was held in presence and online in the wake of the global pandemic. Over the years, the International Symposium has invited more than 435 delegates from 67 different countries around the world.

We are delighted to announce the seventh edition of the International Symposium, with the theme “Beyond Borders: Pioneering Transformation in the Environment and Society” to be held in a hybrid (in-person and online) format in Stuttgart, Germany, on December 1, 2023.

Here’s a glimpse of the 7th symposium…
